Coronavirus has us frozen in place for the most part. There is no doubt that COVID-19 is the toughest challenge we have ever faced in recent years, no matter for the United States or the whole world. People’s daily life such as working, schooling, traveling, shopping, and getting around - the COVID-19 crisis has fundamentally changed many things.

The good news is that the vaccination campaign has progressed. Until May 23, nearly 50 percent of Americans have at least one vaccine dose. Cases of COVID-19 in the United States have now dropped roughly for more than a month as the vaccination campaign progressed. The vaccination rate is growing by about two percentage points per week. According to WHO’s the last update on May 23, the United States is adding fewer than 20,000 cases a day for the first time since June of last year. The COVID-19 outlook is improving in stages, we are moving forward in a positive direction.

As the vaccination campaign's progressed, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued guidance that said vaccinated people could take off masks in most situations indoors and outside, states have followed suit. Officials are rolling out reopening policies and plans across the United States. It’s essential to get people back to work and ease social restrictions while minimizing the health impacts of COVID-19. The criteria and reopening date are different in various states, but being re-closed or re-opened in actual situations mostly depends on infection rates, and if the vaccine supply is sufficient. Even though the reopening policy being released and conducted, people still need to rely on their own judgment in some circumstances. To help stop the spread of coronavirus and for your own safety, please maintain social distancing, keep apart, use contactless where possible, plan your journey ahead and etc. Businesses must follow certain rules to continue operating, such as posting required signage, limiting their maximum capacity, maintaining physical distance, and face coverings.

The United States remains the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak. Even though the vaccination rates climb, the U.S. vaccination story varies widely across regions, with New England surging ahead of the national average and much of the South lagging far behind. The virus is still dangerous in communities with low vaccination rates. A full and comprehensive reopening plan will still come with rules in many places. We have made a huge step in the past period, but there is much more to do in 2021. The pandemic still rages in large parts of the world.
